This is what it says when I try to connect to my email:HTTP ERROR 502 Problem accessing ZCS upstream server. Cannot connect to the ZCS upstream server. Connection is refused. Possible reasons:.upstream server is unreachable.upstream server is currently being upgraded.upstream server is down.
Hi Rick1323,- How long have you had this issue?- What software changes did you make on the computer prior to the issue? The 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that means that one server received an invalid response from another server that it was accessing while attempting to load the web page or fill another request by the browser. The 502 Bad Gateway error is usually a network error between servers on the Internet, meaning the problem is not with your PC or Internet connection. It may also indicate an issue with internet service provider (ISP). Get in touch with your ISP for further assistance.
I wanted out of Exchange licensing and also needed to stay on premesis due to our flaky internet connection. There weren't a lot of options so I took a deep breath and installed this on a Centos7 VM under VMware. It has been superb.I'm no linux guru but I managed to do the migration for 75 users myself without any help and it has been running like a champ ever since. The stability has been a revelation and nearly everything you need to do is available through the web GUI which is actually very good indeed. What are the pros? This is a good alternative to Exchange. It has a lot of features and capability. I run the FOSS edition so I don't get much more than the forum for support but the community is very knowledgeable.
The early versions gave me some fits with activesync but I have several android phones using it on the current version and it works well. On the desktops we strictly use the web interface and I have struggled with making Outlook play nice but worth the hassle for the price! Built in clamav and spamassassin. Highly configurable. I deduct a star for the Desktop compatibility and ease of configuration, but if you can work with using the web interface and are willing to do some research on the config, you will be plenty happy.
After 2 plus pages of entries for what appears to be one product i have to wonder if this is a marketing plot by this company to get their name out there. Why do i have to go through several pages of zimbra products? If you reveiw one and then click on another you can not give another review because you the second 'product' that you clicked on is really the same product as the first one that you clicked on. Seem a little ridiculous and unprofessional. A representative from zimbra should go to great effort to fix this issue. Your product does not look good at all with this type of hype.
We've installed it on a LINODE server (hosted in Singapore, we're in PRC).After vanilla install of the latest versio of Zimbra, weadded two userssent some emails to those user email accounts.Almost immediately noticed issues, and quickly got 502 errorHTTP ERROR 502Problem accessing ZCS upstream server. Cannot connect to the ZCS upstream server. Connection is refused.Possible reasons:upstream server is unreachableupstream server is currently being upgradedupstream server is downPlease contact your ZCS administrator to fix the problem.Powered by Nginx-Zimbra://Sometimes something as simple as changing the background template on the webclient drops the web UI.Anyone come across this before? We'd like to migrate 20+ people from Google Apps (cuz PRC hates Google). And while most people would use Outlook to 'store' email, the web UI can't be crashing due to a template change. Before going with Zimbra we were using qmail, with a squirrel mail web interface.Tried Zimbra Community Edition roughly 7 years ago, when it was being developed by Yahoo. Stuck with it through the VMWare years and we are still using it.Switched to using Oracle's free version of Unbreakable Linux, as Zimbra would always throw off warnings about Centos being unsupported.
It is now, but we are sticking with Oracle.Zimbra has made the switch to MariaDB, as has Oracle with version 7. Still waiting to see the fallout, if any.Running version 8.5.1.
The upgrade path has always worked. I attempted to purchase Zimbra recently after Telligent purchased them. I was met with confusion and issue after issue.
The company was at first unaware of who to direct me to (vendor wise) and then the vendor took there sweet time assisting me.For a purchase that was going to be upwards around 50k for our deployment I would of thought I would get better service. The fact the Sales Dept was in chaos from my point of view left me worried how much worse or better the Support Dept might be.I used Zimbra 2+ years ago before it was being tossed around company to company and it is a great product but this experience was rough.
